Different genres, Different screenplays and different target audience and huge expectations......pretty much sums up about the movies released this weekend. "Jaya janaki nayaka" is a mass entertainer, "Lie" claimed to be an intelligent Thriller and "Nene Raju Nene Mantri" is a political drama. My take on these 3 flicks:
Jaya janaki nayaka is out and out Boyapati mark mass masala movie. Electrifying action sequences, convincing emotional scenes, huge supporting cast are positives while routine story, hero not able to utter high intensity dialogues are negatives. Music is average.
Interval fight and Hamsala deevi action episode is perfect treat for those who like masala movies. Sarathkumar and Jagapathy babu are 'added advantage' to the movie.
NTR would have been perfect for this movie. However Bellakonda Srinivas scored his first hit.
After a long break, Teja has done a decent job with Nene Raju Nene Mantri. Rana's one man show has definitely raised it's level a bit. Kajal has got a full length and matured role.
Music is average. Teja mark screenplay on current politics is bit overboard sometimes. Especially in climax, there is no need of mass gathering of all the people, after listening his story. Jogendra is not a Mahatma to influence the people. However, Rana's show has scored decent marks - a passable affair.
The title "Radha Jogendra" is apt for the movie. Tag line: Rise and fall of Jogendra for Radha.
Trailer has raised huge expectations and songs of Manisharma has increased expectations even more. Matured acting of Nitin, Arjun's acting skills, BG score of Manisharma, 3 songs are positives while lagging screenplay, unconvincing scenes, predictable twists are negatives. Hanu Raghavapudi has chosen complex storyline and couldn't do complete justice for the film. His inexperience is shown in many scenes. It's a below average movie.
There is no intelligence in intelligent Thriller.
